A Healthy Summer Lunch Program
GJT LUNCH working within the framework of a network of “Better Together” is excited to announce a healthy summer lunch program that is free to all
Laconia school children. Families that register will be able to pick up or have delivered to their homes a grocery bag of healthy foods including fresh fruits and vegetables, a loaf of whole wheat bread and sandwich fillings. The
Laconia
School District is partnering with us and will be helping us to reach the families. We are hoping that this can be an entire community effort. We are inviting churches, temples, agencies, individuals and businesses to assist in this program. We have all heard for far too long that we have children in our community who are not getting the nutrition they need, or that is recommended for healthy living.

We are currently estimating the cost of feeding one child for one week to be $10 extending that out to the eleven weeks the total cost per child for the summer $110.
