Free vegetables every Thursday afternoon. 2-4 p.m. or until they are gone. Front lawn of the church on the Veterans Square side.

All young people (your kids and grandkids!) are invited to join in for the second Sunday of the month Faith Formation gathering. Arrive for the 9:30 a.m. service and we will leave together part way through. All school aged children and youth are welcome to share together in our faith community!

The Congregational Church of Laconia has been selected to receive a Spirit of New Hampshire Award. We were nominated by Paula Ferenc, Executive Director of the Belknap House, who believes that our “service to the community goes above and beyond,” specifically highlighting the Thursday night meals that we have provided weekly for the Belknap House since 2020.

The Spirt of NH Awards are New Hampshire’s largest volunteer recognition event, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A slate of more than 60 award recipients spanning all ages, groups and organizations will be recognized. If you cannot attend the ceremony live, you will be able to view it via livestream on Concord TV’s YouTube channel. The link will be provided via email and on social media (@VolunteerNH) ahead of time, so spread the word! We will also have the opportunity to encourage others to vote for us to win the People’s Choice Award. Voting closes on event night and the   award will be announced live.

Event details:

• All attendees are invited to a reception with a cash bar and light refreshments provided by Batulo’s Kitchen, which begins at the venue at 5 p.m. There will be an opportunity for people involved with Belknap House meals to attend. As soon as we know how many people we are able to bring we will figure out the details.
